Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Leaks, Specs and Release: 'Unpacked 2016' Event Set on Aug. 2

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has been leaked just a few hours ahead of its official launch on August 2 for the "Unpacked 2016" event.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 launch date is scheduled on August 2, Tuesday, but a massive online leak has revealed the device's specs and features. Official press renders have also been published online which confirmed some of the rumors of Samsung's newest smartphone.

Gadgets 360 reported that the French website, Nowhereelse, published official photo renders of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 online. The smartphone is revealed to come in three colors - Coral Blue, Black and Silver and this confirmed previous leaks for the Note 7.

Apart from the colors, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will reportedly have an Edge display. 9To5Google points out that the Note 7 will have Gorilla Glass 5, 5.7-inch QHD AMOLED display, IP68 water and dust resistance, fingerprint scanner, Iris scanner, USB Type-C port and a 3,500 mAh battery. It will also have 2 cameras, a 12MP rear one and a 5MP selfie cam and will reportedly have the Android Nougat as the OS.
Furthermore, the Note 7 will come in two variants; customers can either choose a Note 7 with either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 or an Exynos 8893 SoC. However, it is not known if the rumors of a Snapdragon 820 processor will be coming out as well.
One of the most highly awaited on the Note 7 is the inclusion of the new Samsung Gear VR headset alongside the smartphone. The USB-C type compatibility on both devices is said to inherently support each other without the need of an adapter.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will reportedly be launched on August 2 and the preorders will start on August 3. DroidLife adds that the Note 7 will start shipping by August 19, a few weeks after its launch.

Samsung's Unpacked 2016 event for the launching of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will start at 11 a.m. EDT in New York on August 2, International Business Times reports. There will also be similar events in Rio de Janeiro at 12nn and in London at 4 p.m.
