Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Firmware Development Begins; Leaked Specs Sheet Tease Monstrous Phablet
With the Samsung Galaxy S8 now out in the open, Samsung fans now shift their attention to the tech company's phablet flagship, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.
A report from Sam Mobile claims that firmware development for the device has officially kicked off for the international variant of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, which is codenamed "Great."
In line with this, the build numbers for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 model have been revealed as well: N935LKLU2AQD2, N935LLUC2AQD2 and N935LKLU2AQD2.
So far, this appears to be what is keeping the folks over at the South Korean tech giant busy in terms of the future of its Samsung Galaxy Note line.
However, Sam Mobile did get a hold of the build numbers of the refurbished version of last year's Samsung Galaxy Note 7, which will be made available exclusively to Korea only.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 did not last long in the market after it was pulled from the shelves due to the issues on exploding batteries, but it looks like the Galaxy make is not done with them yet.
With regard to what the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has to offer, leaked schematics and specification sheets reveal quite a robust and good-looking offering.
Much like the recently unveiled Samsung Galaxy S8, the phablet is expected to come with less bezels and a larger screen, which is said to be at 6.4 inches. The display is believed to deliver 4K screen resolution.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is also said to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor under the hood as well as the latest Exynos chipset by Samsung.
These beastly makings will be accompanied by 6 GB random-access memory (RAM) and 128 GB storage. Of course, there will be other variants with different configurations. Android Headlines says that a model with 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB storage could be in the works.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 should arrive around September.
