Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Specs, Release Date: New Leak Reveals Device Fit for a King

Now that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is already official, the talks quickly shift to the product that is next in line.

The South Korean giant is not wasting any time and has just reverted back to development mode for the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. The first details about it emerged from a report by The Investor, suggesting that the company is going bigger.

Apparently, the next-generation Note offering is codenamed "crown." While details on the specs and features were not provided, this has users and media outlets convinced that its makings will match its moniker.

BGR believes that the codename is also a reflection of Samsung's ever-determined mindset as the company attempts to conquer the mobile scene. This means that the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will have a lot of new and exciting things to offer.

The phablet is expected to keep its tall 6.32-inch display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It should also build on its dual camera setup, but will add a feature comparable to the 3D facial recognition introduced on the Apple iPhone X.

Previous reports and leaks suggest that the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will be the first device to boast the under-display fingerprint sensor, technology that the company and even it Cupertino-based rival failed to perfect for their current flagships.

The mobile sphere is bound to hear more about the next Samsung Galaxy Note device in the months to come, at least based on a statement by a smartphone component supplier to The Bell via The Investor:

We will start providing components for a pilot production (of the Galaxy Note 9) in the first quarter next year.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is expected to arrive late next year. The tech giant's next big release will be the Samsung Galaxy S9, which is rumored to come out before or in March 2018.
