Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Review, Specs News: Radically Designed New Device Released
Tech fans have often said that Samsung does a great job of producing quality devices with superb specs and great features, but previous releases have been deemed to be too safe and boring, design-wise. However, the Korean company has stepped up to the plate and showed everyone at MWC 2015 that they can be unconventional and edgy too, as Samsung has released the Galaxy S6 Edge along with the Galaxy S6 at the Barcelona event on March 1.
For many years, Samsung has relied on its tried and tested plastic design for its handsets, but the S6 Edge has a gorgeous metal body in colors such as White Pearl, Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum, and Green Emerald. The edges of the screen curve out and down, giving the screen a bubble-like effect along the sides. The phone measures 5.6 x 2.8 x 0.28 inches and weighs 4.6 ounces. Though it's not waterproof, the handset is protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass 4 to guard it against scratches and breaking from accidental drops.
One thing that fans will surely complain about is the lack of a micro SD card slot. However, the phone comes in 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB variants

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 and pixel density count of 576ppi. What really sets this phone apart from the S6 is the curved edges on the screen. The curved sides offer quick access to contacts, notifications and information from certain apps, and when a call is received, one side will light up in a specific color assigned to the contact.
The S6 Edge has a 64-bit octa core ship and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with TouchWiz interface on top. The phone has a 16MP rear camera and 5MP front facing shooter.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is expected to go on a global rollout starting April 10. As of the moment, pricing information is unavailable for the handset, but it is expected to cost more than the Galaxy S6.
