Samsung Galaxy S6 Specs, Price, Features Review: New Smartphone Lands With More Premium Metal Feel
At long last, Samsung's newest flagship phone is here—the Samsung Galaxy S6. The handset was announced at the Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona on March 1, and Samsung fans were thrilled with the phone's new design and features, as it looks very different from its predecessors.
The handset is made out of glass and metal and has a solid and more premium feel than the Galaxy S5. The phone has rounded tops and bottoms and straight sides and measures 5.6.x 2.8 x 0.27 inches and weighs 4.9 ounces. The metal body means that the phone is not waterproof, and the battery is no longer removable. The phone is available in White Pearl, Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum, and Blue Topaz.
One more thing that the S6 has omitted is a microSD card slot. However, the phone is available in different storage options—32GB, 64GB and 128GB. Samsung will also throw in 115GB free Microsoft OneDrive storage for two years.

The phone's 5.1-inch display has a better resolution than previous Galaxy S phones at 2560 x 1440 pixels with pixel density of 557ppi. This results to amazingly clear and crisp pictures, and color quality is true and vivid, though it remains to be seen whether the phone's high resolution will have an impact on the battery life.
The Galaxy S6 is powered by Samsung's own 64-bit octa core chip set and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with a new version of Samsung's TouchWiz interface on top. The handset is equipped with a 16MP rear-facing camera, and a 5MP front-facing shooter.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 is expected to go on sale by April 2015. As for the price, AndroidPit hints that the Galaxy S6 will cost $855 for the 32GB model, $970 for the 64GB variant, and $1,085 for the 128GB model.
