Samsung Galaxy S7 Release Date & Update: Flagship Smartphone Expected to Arrive on February
Fans who are looking out for the Samsung Galaxy S7 may only need to wait for a short time as rumors say that the next flagship smartphone may be arriving earlier than expected.
According to a report by Latin Post, the Galaxy S7 is reported to come out first quarter of next year. There are some reports that point to a January release and it may be because of the company's switch to Agile development. But other sources say that it will arrive earlier than the tech company's Unpacked 2016 event.
There are also rumors that claim that the successor of Galaxy S6 will be unveiled next year on Feb. 22 or Feb. 25. This date is the scheduled date of the release of the firmware that is under development by Samsung, the reason why the flagship device may be released on the same date.

But since there are no official details yet from the South Korean tech giant, the release date of the device is still unknown. It is best to take the reports with a grain of salt as well.
In other news, the Samsung Galaxy S7 is expected to support memory expansion again. Know Your Mobile reported that Samsung is considering adding in a microSD card slot. It's not clear yet if both the S7 and S7 Edge will get the microSD.
As for its specs, the S7 variant is expected to sport 5.2-inch screen while the S7 Edge variant will be a giant phablet with a 5.7-inch screen display. The expected processor is Exynos 8890 series octa-core CPU or a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 series quad-core processor.
It will run with the latest operating system Android 6.0 Marshmallow and will come with 4 GB of RAM with 64 GB of built-in storage. A 23-megapixel rear camera, a USB Type-C port and iris scanner is tipped. Wireless charging may also be featured.
