Samsung Galaxy S7 update & rumors: details leaked online, may come with dual camera, to arrive early in 2016?

Samsung is at it again. Even with the hype of Galaxy 6 Edge still at a high, the company is bringing in more reasons for fans and tech savvies to be excited about. The online sphere right now is packed with headlines about Samsung's next flagship, the Galaxy S7. According to iDigital Times, Samsung Galaxy S7 rumors are making their rounds and a tech blog said that the device is being developed under the codename "Project Lucky.

The blog SamMobile noted that the device is codenamed as such because the number seven is considered a "lucky" number to many and this just might be the product that will lift the company off its reported declining earnings. Perhaps that might be the case as the next-gen smartphone's leaked details look promising enough to build up sales.

According to International Business Times, Galaxy S7 is complete with high-end features and specifications beginning with the rumored dual-camera module. This concept isn't really something new though since sources say that HTC has already tried doing the dual-camera setup with the HTC One M8 but it didn't really have much success. Reports say that maybe Samsung has figured out the right way to implement the feature and will debut it on the upcoming device.

No exact details have been revealed other than its capability to command the imaging and scan for depth and other information. It is rumored to produce DSLR-quality photos and videos as well. Venture Beat also mentioned that a 20-megapixel ISOCELL camera will come along with it, as well as a project dubbed as "all lens cover." No further details about it have been disclosed yet.

Some reports also say that the Galaxy S7 will be available in two size variants. One will come with a 5.2-inch screen with a pixel density of 847 pixels per inch (ppi) while the other one will have a 5.8-inch screen with display panel of 759 ppi, which will really give a first-rate mobile viewing experience to users. Aside from the screen sizes, each device will run with a different configuration. One of the models will sport the newly-developed in-house Eyxnos M1 chipset while the other one will receive the Snapdragon 820 processor.

Furthermore, leaked specs of the device include a 4GB RAM, 64GB storage with microSD card slot and a 4K display. It looks like a removable battery will be a no-show though. Reports say that the mobile will be released in 2016, with some predicting around April or as early as February.
