Samsung has made clear that there would be no difference between the devices offered by AT&T and the other two carriers when it comes to hardware. Those from T-Mobile and Sprint, however, will only be available in Meteor Gray color.

This is said to be the first time a company other than AT&T will be selling a Galaxy S Active phone. At the moment, the offer is exclusive to the US, with no hints on the phone's international availability.

Launched a couple of months ago, Galaxy S8 Active has acquired quite a lot of followers. The Android smartphone boasts of a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED screen which is shatter-resistant, while its aluminum frame is bumper-protected. It is also dust and water resistant, just like regular S8 and Note 8. The S8 Active features a 4,000mAh battery while the camera is 12 megapixels (MP). The buttons are all on-screen, including the controversial Bixby key.

AT&T offers the Galaxy S8 Active at $849.99. According to Android Central, T-Mobile will be selling it at a much lower price of $820 when it goes on sale on Nov. 17. The device from the company will reportedly also have an extra something. It is said to have a proper radio to take advantage of the carrier's 600MHz (Band 71) spectrum. As for Sprint's pricing and availability, the Kansas-based telecom has yet to release updates.
