Samsung Galaxy X 2017 Could Launch in Early July?

Now that the Samsung Galaxy S8 has been unwrapped, the spotlight is now on the South Korean tech giant's next big unveiling, which will be the Samsung Galaxy X 2017.

According to a Chinese leakster who has provided accurate information in the past with regard to upcoming Samsung releases, the first foldable smartphone from the company is coming sooner than expected.

How soon, fans may ask, is apparently in the third quarter of the year, which means that as early as July, the Samsung Galaxy X 2017 could already be out in the open. This also means that it will be released before the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, which is set to launch in the final quarter of the year, as per the same leakster.

The Samsung Galaxy X 2017 is first of another flagship line from the software titan, one that features a design that sets it apart from the rest.

This trailblazer of a smartphone will feature a display that is foldable with a special hinge set to be the foundation of this design. When spread out, it takes the form of a phablet.

Previous leaks suggested that the device will come in two versions — the Samsung Galaxy X1 and the Samsung Galaxy X1 Plus although specifics about it all are still murky.

But if the new report is accurate about its Q3 release, it might not be long before more concentrated information about the Samsung Galaxy X 2017 comes about.

BGR says that Samsung might wait until the IFA 2017 set to take place in September in Berlin. This makes it a direct competition to the iPhone 8, which is set to be unveiled on that month as well.

It is said that since the design is a breath of fresh air for a mobile phone and one that could make or break it, Samsung is only doing a limited launch for the Samsung Galaxy X 2017 to know whether users will be up for such design.
