Samsung's S6 Edge Plus Release Date, Specs Rumors: To Feature A QWERTY Keyboard?

With only a few days left until the unveiling of Samsung's S6 Edge Plus, more interesting updates regarding the development of the company's upcoming product have been revealed. The latest leak out has made the fans talking and wondering whether it's true or not.

A new picture shared via Evan Blass' Twitter account showed an image of the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus attached with a keyboard cover, giving the device a QWERTY clip-on functionality. It is giving the device that early smartphone look when screen were 480p and everything was a slider. And it looks like it can't be help to raise the question of whether a physical keyboard attachment is useful now since the phablet form factor has been around for a while already.

No further information regarding its accuracy have been revealed in the photo leak as Blass did not go into more details about the silver product. He only said in his caption that the idea is "clever."

But considering @evleaks is a well-known source for all digital things under wraps, the probability of this concept can be at least plausible. Until then, fans will have to wait and until the Samsung makes their official announcement.

Meanwhile, according to GSM Arena, the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus is a bigger version of the Galaxy S6 edge. It sports a heftier body and larger screen size of 5.5-inches. The screen is also said to be given a boost to give it the capability to show clearer images with 534 ppi and 2K resolution.

This bigger version would also be run by the same Exynos 7420, 4GB RAM and Mali-T760 GPU that powers its predecessor. The rear camera is 16 MP and the front camera is 5MP.

The full unveiling of the device will be held during the Unpacked event on Aug. 13.
