'Samurai Warriors: Sanada Maru' News and Updates: Game Publisher Reveals Storyline and New Playable Characters
Japanese video game publisher Koei Tecmo had just released new screenshots of "Samurai Warriors: Sanada Maru" that showcases the story and some playable characters of the game.
The Story
"Samurai Warriors: Sanada Maru" will be set in fall of 1561, which was the fourth year of the Eiroku era. Echigo's Uesugi Kenshin and Kai's Takeda Shingen will be battling it out in Kawanakajima for the fourth time. This battle would then be the first for Takeda Shingen and Sanada Masayuki.

Sanada Yukimura, who is considered the strongest warrior in Japan, is the son of Masayuki. He is also the brother of the feared strategist, Tokugawa Ieyasu, who is still a young samurai in this timeline. The two were born after Masayuki's first battle.
At the same time, the Takeda family was also celebrating. Shingen then sets out to the capital after winning Suruga. He then confronts Masayuki, who later becomes his worst enemy. During this period of war, a big wave plagues them. "Samurai Warriors: Sanada Maru" will then follow the paths that Masayuki and Yukimura will be choosing.
Playable Characters
Sanada Nobuyuki
Sanada Nobuyuki will be portrayed in "Samurai Warriors: Sanada Maru" as a young boy. He is described as wise and prudent. He is also the elder brother of Yukimura, who is very aggressive.
Sanada Nobuyuki
Nobuyuki became the figure head of the Sanada family, following the Battle of Sekigahara. He is heavily relied on by Ieyasu, so he receives Numata and Ueda, and maturity came with his personality as daimyo.
Takeda Katsuyori
Takeda Katsuyori is the fourth son of Takeda Shingen. He became the heir after the death of Yoshinobu. He had a deep reliance with Sanada Masayuki as their relationship grew deeper than being a master and servant. He is a noble and good-hearted character, but is fierce in battle.
Tokugawa Hidetada
Tokugawa Hidetada is Tokugawa Ieyasu's third son. He was supposedly the heir, but his family could not control his haughtiness and severe sarcasm. He also does not exempt his father from his attitude. He led a detached force with Sanada Nobuyuki during the Battle of Sekigahara, which was also his first battle.
Tokugawa Hidetada
He is the second generation Tokugawa Shogunate shogun. His personality has not changed, but his state of mind was severely affected by the experience he gained in his first battle. He was confronted by Sanada Yukimura during the Siege of Osaka, wherein he settles his issues with Toyotomi.
Muramatsu-dono
She will come in as an unplayable character in child form. She looks after her father, Masayuki, and her younger brothers Nobuyuki and Yukimura. She was sent to Azuchi as a hostage when Sanada became a vassal of Oda.
Release Details
"Samurai Warriors: Sanada Maru" will be released on November 23 in Japan. It will then be released in the US in 2017. "Samurai Warriors: Sanada Maru" will be playable through PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PS Vita.
