They currently lead the Southwest Division with a record of 18-5 and many are considering the Spurs a favourite for the top spot in the West, despite the Golden State Warriors going on an incredible run at the moment.
The reason behind this is the perfect plan that the whole Spurs system have. With stars like Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili nearing the end of their careers, they have gotten young blood with the combination of Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge who have been excellent this season.
With most teams unable to find an answer for the squad, it is difficult to fathom that the Lakers can pull an upset especially away from home.
However, this is not just any other season for the Lakers. They are welcoming the final year of Kobe Bryant and he may still save his best performances for his biggest rivals in the league.
They are only at 3-19 at the moment to place last in the Pacific, but Laker fans believe that this marquee match may light the fire underneath Bryant to put on another vintage performance.
