San Antonio Spurs vs. Memphis Grizzlies Preview: Spurs Aim for Fourth Win Against Grizzlies This Season

The second-seeded San Antonio Spurs are looking to pick up their fourth victory against the fifth-seeded Memphis Grizzlies, as they face each other on Monday, March 28th.

The said game will be held at the FedExForum in Memphis.

The first time the Spurs and Grizzlies played against each other was on November 21st, in San Antonio. At the time, Memphis had their four-game winning streak come to an end via a Spurs beating, with a final score of 92-82.

Despite the victory, however, Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich still criticized his team for "playing poorly". Forward Kawhi Leonard and Tony Parker were the main men for the Spurs that night.

Leonard ended the game with 19 points, seven rebounds, and three assists, through 40 minutes of playing time. Parker, on the other hand, piled in 18 points and three assists, shooting 6 out of 10 from the field, through 31 minutes of playing time.

The second game on December 3rd was another double-digit victory for the Spurs. Once again, it was Leonard who contributed the most, as San Antonio emerged victorious with a final score of 103-83.

Leonard dropped 27 points, along with eight rebounds, three assists, and two steals, shooting 9 out of 13 from the field, through 32 minutes of playing time. In the first half, it was Tony Parker who began the scoring surge, as he ended the game with 17 points, seven rebounds, and five assists, shooting 8 out of 12 from the field, through 23 minutes of playing time.

The third game was a different story, as the Grizzlies were able to bring the game closer and end the game with a narrower deficit. The Spurs still emerged victorious with a final score of 110-104.

Marking their 37th consecutive home game victory, the star of the night for San Antonio was Lamarcus Aldridge, who piled in 32 points, 12 rebounds and two steals, shooting 12 out of 16 from the field, through 33 minutes of playing time.

The Spurs hold a record of 61-12, while the Grizzlies banner a win-loss slate of 41-32.
