San Francisco 49ers vs Minnesota Vikings Live Stream, Preview: The Niners look to win at home.
Adrian Peterson returns for the Minnesota Vikings.
In the final game of the first week of the regular season, the San Francisco 49ers host the Minnesota Vikings at Levi's Stadium in the National Football League.
The match is on September 14, 2015 at 10:20 PM ET.
This is also the final battle of Monday Night Football and is anticipated by many fans of the sport.
Both teams have gone through a lot in the offseason but are looking to look behind it and move with a positive outlook on the season.
For the Vikings, the return of Adrian Peterson is one of the most telling storylines they have heading into the campaign.
This will be the first time Peterson will play after a child abuse case that left him off the field and into the courtroom all of last season.
And in his return, many are hoping that he continues where he left off as one of the best running backs in the league.
He will also finally pair up with Teddy Bridgewater as the young quarterback continues to hold the reins in the offense of the Vikings.
Last year, the team finished 7-9 and are looking to turn things around for football to be exciting again in Minnesota.
On the other hand, the 49ers have also had their share of problems during the summer.
There have been a lot of changes in the team, headlined by a change in the head coaching department as Jim Harbaugh has moved on and Jim Tomsula has come to take his place.
Furthermore, San Francisco have had to deal with retirement from players such as Anthony Davis, Chris Borland and Patrick Willis.
Aldon Smith was released after problems with the law back in August.
Frank Gore and Mike Iupati have left the team in free agency, but quarterback Colin Kaepernick will still have some veterans to help him along the way.
Reggie Bush has been added and will hopefully turn in good to help the struggling team who only finished 8-8 and missed out of the playoffs for the first time in five years.
NaVorro Bowman returns to the squad after a year off due to a knee injury back in January 2014.
