San Francisco Giants vs St Louis Cardinals Live Stream MLB: Watch Online Postseason NLCS Playoffs
The San Francisco Giants and the St Louis Cardinals will face off in Game 3 of the NLCS, and with the series tied at 1-1 this could be a pivotal game to see who will be making it through to the World Series in this best-of-seven playoff.
The game is scheduled to start at 4.07 p.m. ET and can be watched online through live stream through one of the post season packages below.
Game 3 will see Matt Cain and Kyle Lohse compete to give their teams the advantage from the mound. Both will be trying to keep their pitch count low, and it will be interesting to see if both can maintain their intensity - if either pitchers throw sub-par it would be disastrous for their team in this evenly matched contest.
The Giants will be relying heavily on Buster Posey, and if he can do well San Francisco could overturn the Cardinals. Posey has not been the force he was in the NLDS so far in the first two games of this series, and the Giants' fans will be hoping he can step up to the plate and perform today.
So far Posey has gone 1-for-8 over the first two games, which is simply not good enough if the Giants are to make it through to the World Series. During the regular season against the Cardinals he was 10-for-21 with two homes runs and six RBI.
He performed against the Cincinnati Reds in the NLDS but must now come out of his mini-slump today in Game 3 against Lohse.
Meanwhile, for the Cardinals Jon Jay is still yet to step up in the postseason and he has been a quiet player during the playoffs. He has gone 5-for-33 through the playoffs and has been consistently disappointing. His fans will point out he did manage two-hit games in Games 2 and 3 against the Washington, but outside of that he has contributed not much else.
The Cardinals will be hoping Jay can return to his form from the regular season where he posted a .305 batting average. He will have to bounce back against Matt Cain in today's match up.
