San Jose are currently seventh in the West and are outside the playoff race. However, they only find themselves behind the Seattle Sounders on goal difference as they are level with 35 points.

They are looking good after winning their last three league matches. Even more impressive is that in those wins they have knocked in eight goals while not conceding a single one.

Chris Wondolowski is the team's main scoring threat, with the 32-year-old already scoring 12 goals in 22 appearances to lead the team. He will surely be one of the most covered San Jose players in the coming clash.

On the other hand, the Galaxy have clearly shown that they are the team to beat in the MLS and are atop the West with 46 points, one point clear of the chasing Vancouver Whitecaps.

They also hold the best record in the league to put their impressive stamp over the competition.

Los Angeles have won their last four MLS matches, beating teams like the Colorado Rapids, Seattle Sounders, Dallas FC and New York City FC along the way.

Their star-studded line-up includes Robbie Keane who has 15 goals in 17 league appearances, Giovani dos Santos who has scored twice in three games, and Steven Gerrard who has been a commanding force in the midfield so far.

In their last meeting in July, Los Angeles dominated San Jose with a 5-2 victory. Quincy Amarikwa gave San Jose an early two-goal lead with a brace before Keane scored a hat-trick while Gerrard and Sebastian Lletget also found the back of the net to turn the tide around and get three points.

Expect both teams to battle for 90 minutes.
