Sand-Colored Google Nexus 9 Arrives in Google Play Store
Google Nexus 9 sand-colored model is now available in Google Play Store.
Unlike the black and white models, which are both available in 16 GB and 32 GB, the sand-colored handset is only sold in 32 GB without slot for expandable memory. The case is plastic with metal edges.
As with its predecessors, the new Google Nexus 9 sports 8.9-inch screen and weighs 425 grams. It has a resolution of 2,048 by 1,536. The screen is vibrant and can showcase bright colors richly.
The processor for Nexus 9 is Dual Denver 2.3 GHz with 2GB of RAM. Reports say that the tablet is speedy. The user can efficiently stream videos, update applications and play games without the need to restart. Pairing it with Android 5.0 Lollipop will improve its already great performance.
As for the Nexus 9's cameras, the front facing camera has 2 megapixels while the main camera has 8 mega pixels with LED flash. Photos taken from the cameras look crisp and sharp that has been compared to iPad 2.
The tablet is powered with a 6700 mAh battery that can last up to nine hours of continued use. Watching a video or surfing the Internet for nine hours will not be a problem.
As mentioned, the Nexus 9 has often been compared to iPad Air 2. Apple's tablet has great features as well but one advantage of the Nexus 9 is that it has a double tap feature wherein users can just tap the tablet twice to turn it on.
Although the two tablets have a lot of similarities when it comes to specs and display, some reports prefer the iPad Air 2 in terms of performance. However, the prices of the two tablets are slightly different, according to The Christian Times.
The iPad Air 2 32 GB costs $449 in Amazon while Google Nexus 9 32 GB in sand color costs $479 at the Google Play Store.
