Sandra Oh, Dr. Cristina Yang, Leaving Grey's Anatomy, Shooting Season 10 Final Scenes
Sandra Oh, best known for playing Dr. Cristina Yang is leaving Grey's Anatomy and is shooting her final scenes as the show heads towards a dramatic Season 10 finale.
Some spoilers have reported that Yang will be leaving Grey Sloan Memorial hospital, and will travel to Europe as part of her exit. However, there are also other reports circulating stating that she will be killed off the show via a big explosion as she prepares for her trip to Europe.
Sandra Oh may also not be the only person leaving the show. Other spoilers and rumors have claimed that Gaius Charles, who plays Shane, and Tessa Ferrer, who plays Leah, would be leaving the show.
Oh has been one of the most familiar faces on the show over the past decade and has been a part of the cast since the show started in Season 1.
Last year she made her announcement that she would be leaving the show.
Oh told The Hollywood Reporter: "I want this to be a celebration. I want us to get to that point where we see this character ride off into the sunset ... Playing Cristina and growing her and growing myself in her, I want to usher her into the next section of her life in the best way possible. It's got to be Cristina Yang's happily-ever-after."
As she moves towards her exit, Oh took to her Twitter account recently to keep her fans updated. She tweeted a photo of her co-star Kevin McKidd, who plays Owen, along with a caption that confirmed, "Shooting one of our last scenes."
McKidd also tweeted: "My dearest partner in crime. It's too much to take! What [are] we gonna do?"
Grey's Anatomy Season 10 is currently showing and airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on the ABC TV network.
