'Scandal' Season 5 Episode 6 Spoilers: Cyrus' Plan Could Make Liv The Nation's New First Lady
Things are about to get even more interesting as the fifth season of ABC's hit political drama TV series "Scandal" continues this week with an episode that could see Olivia (Kerry Washington) becoming the new first lady of the country.
Fans are already excited to see how these events turn out as Cyrus Beene (Jeff Perry) returns to his post in the White House. And the Chief of Staff has one thing in mind – to end the media scandal surrounding Liv and the President once and for all.
In the latest sneak peek released and shared over at Design & Trend for the episode titled "Get Out of Jail, Free," Olivia is seen storming towards the oval office where Pres. Fitzgerald Grant (Tony Goldwyn) and the elderly official wait.
"We think we have a way out," Cyrus broke out the news to Liv who, instead of becoming impressed with it, immediately flared up.
"Is that why you called me? We can't discuss this…" Olivia said to the two gentlemen.
In spite of her protesting, Cyrus pushed through with his statement.
"We didn't call you here to talk about the investigation," the White House official said.
"We called you here to discuss a wedding…our wedding," the POTUS chimed in.
The Chief of Staff revealed to Liv who, at that moment, was showing an expression of utter surprise, that marrying the president as soon as possible would be the only way that the two of them will be spared from questioning.
Needless to say, the plan doesn't sit well with Mellie Grant (Bellamy Young). In another highlight reel for the episode, Mellie can be heard telling Olivia: "I despise you!" and she may have all the right to feel that way.
"Scandal" Season 5 episode 6 airs this Thursday, Oct. 29, at 9 p.m. on ABC.
