'Scandal' Season 5 News, Cast, Spoilers: Will Jake Find Out Who Lazarus Is?
"Scandal" is getting more and more intense with every episode this season 5. With the Louvre in Paris burning to the ground in the last episode, many wonder what else is in store for the new episode. The first thing that everyone wants to know is who was behind the burning. One of the names given was "Lazarus," and apparently, Papa Pope (Joe Morton) knows something about it as he confirmed it when he received a visit from Jack (Scott Foley) who told him what happened.
According to International Business Times, the fact that Jake had resorted to going to Papa Pope may be a sign that they are about to go up someone very powerful and big, which will more likely be explored in the following episode. Of course, knowing Jake, this is far from being over, as he will continue investigating the events that had transpired in the Louvre. One of the big moments, as teased in the synopsis, could be Jake's meeting with a character from the past. The suspected character appearance could be of Marcus, played by Cornelius Smith Jr. It was previously reported that the activist character was going to be back for a recurring role this season. Although appearing for a couple of episodes, he is now a full-fledged series regular.
While Jake deals with what's happened in the Louvre, Olivia will be tasked to do damage control. She will be assisted by Huck (Guillermo Diaz) and Quinn (Katie Lowes) but may find the situation beyond their control so they will more likely resort to recruiting "a familiar face." Olivia will have a lot on her plate after what the White House has done to her, while Fitz will become preoccupied by the doubters surrounding him. The synopsis further reveals that Fitz will face the surprising fact that "not everyone fully supports his actions."
Season 5 of "Scandal" airs every Thursday on ABC, 9 p.m. ET.
