'Scandal' Season 5 Spoilers: Cyrus Returns

The return of a familiar face is expected to bring more trouble to the White House in the upcoming episodes of "Scandal" season 5.

Fans were finally able to see Jeff Perry's Cyrus Beene back to work with the President, Fitzgerald Grant, played by Tony Goldwyn. Even though the two have been experiencing tension, it was confirmed that Cryus will be seen more often in the White House.

However, there are speculations that his return comes with his own agenda. Because of that, many rumors and speculations have been made regarding what Cyrus will be up to in the episodes to come. One of the theories states that Cyrus plans to get Elizabeth, played by Portia de Rossi, out of the White House. This was due to the scene where he told Fitz that he will not return to office if Elizabeth were still there. However, Fitz still decided to keep Elizabeth, which means that there is an opportunity for Cyrus to find his own way to get rid of her.

With that, there is also hope that Cyrus will be seen working with Olivia Pope, played by Kerry Washington. The two were in bad terms in the previous season. Nevertheless, fans are still rooting for the two to rekindle their friendship. Along with Olivia, there is an expectation for the character to regain his relationship with the president once again.

Meanwhile, other theories provide a different perspective. It was reported that Cyrus could be back to run against Fitz and Mellie, played by Bellamy Young. Some fans believe that Cyrus has plans to take the White House from Fitz because he believes that he was meant to be the president.

Stay tuned for exciting twists and more drama in the coming episodes as "Scandal" season 5 returns on ABC this Feb. 11.
