The upcoming episode of "Scandal" is expected to show some emotional moments for the lead character, Olivia Pope.
After a rocky season, it seems as though another obstacle will be faced by Olivia Pope, played by Kerry Washington. The most recent episode of "Scandal" showed her killing the former vice president, Andrew Nichols, after suffering from a dramatic episode. The shocking turn of events was caused by Olivia's PTSD, which was revived from flashbacks of when she was kidnapped.
In addition, it added to her anger that it was Andrew who had planned to kidnap her. With that, the upcoming episode will have Olivia dealing with the consequences of the actions. However, she will also have another challenge as she find out some shocking news. Olivia will finally find out what Rowan and Jake had been planning, which will be somewhat connected to Jake's past.

Because of this, Olivia will have to see Jake and Vanessa married sooner than planned. This will bring problems to her since she was seen trying to convince Jake to stop his wedding with Vanessa. There are speculations that Olivia still has feelings for Jake, since the two had been dating the past season of "Scandal."
However, fans believe that her feelings are still present, making it hard for her to accept that he is going to be married. Nevertheless, fans have seen Olivia change during this season of "Scandal."
According to Ebony, Washington was able to share some details about her experience in playing the character. She said, "She's very real to me, which will make me sound crazy, and I feel like my job is to witness her and hold a very non-judgmental space for her while allowing her to be who she is. I want her to fully be on her journey and somewhere down the line, I'd like for her to be whole– not too soon, but I want her to be whole and yet, I don't have an attachment of what that looks like."
