Scary Clown Sightings Latest News 2017: Authorities Alerted Over Pranksters Scaring People in the US and the UK
Pranksters are dressing up as creepy clowns, scaring people across the United States and England.
In Ironton, Ohio, people wearing scary, bloodied clown costumes are reportedly going rampant, which has become quite frustrating for the city's officials. Residents are continuously alerting the local law enforcement officials about this matter, even days ahead of Halloween.
"It's crazy," said Police Chief Pam Wagner, according to a WSAZ3 News Channel report. "This year it's turned into a major problem."

It has also been identified that these pranksters are mostly teenagers. And although most of these scary clown sightings were simply innocent pranks, one teenager was reportedly arrested after threatening some children with a club, all while dressed as a clown.
Meanwhile, in Florida, the Volusia County Sheriff's Office has taken to Facebook to warn residents about the dangers of wearing clown costumes to scare people.
"Warning to evil clowns and anyone considering creepy clown activity," the post read. "We will not be there to save you if your intended target defends himself or herself, and you may face penalties as well," it went on to say.
According to New York Daily News, what may have promoted the officials to send out this message was a recent incident wherein an 11-year-old male child told authorities that someone "wearing blue clown hair, rainbow painted face, and a red foam nose" attempted to attack him while he was on his way to school.
The clown allegedly jumped out of a bush and lunged at him as he was riding his bicycle near Pine Ridge High Schol.
In the U.K., on the other hand, people in creepy clown costumes are reportedly scaring off children and jumping out of moving vehicles.
As per The Sun, parents of Thamesview School students reported some clown sightings, while there was an incident in Tymberwood Academy wherein some of their pupils witnessed a bunch of older kids acting inappropriately while wearing clown masks.
There also had been reports of shoppers and cars being targeted by clown costume-wearing pranksters in Canterbury and Cornwall.
The U.K. police advise people to remain calm and call the authorities immediately when they encounter these clowns.
