Scientology & Leah Remini Latest News: Scientologists Demand Advertisers to Boycott Remini's Show

Scientologists from everywhere are joining forces to call for the boycotting of Leah Remini's "Scientology and the Aftermath" show. Scientologists are reportedly standing up against the show, as it triggers threats and acts of violence against their group.

According to reports, these Scientologists have sent several electronic mails to advertisers, asking them to withdraw their support from the show. Aside from emails, actual letters were also allegedly sent to target recipients, including ad buyers, demanding them to boycott Remini's show. The group behind the effort was recently identified as the Scientologists Taking Action Against Discrimination (STAND).

Remini's show, titled "Scientology and the Aftermath," is currently in its sophomore season and is hosted by Remini herself, who is a former Scientologist who claims to "give the victims (of Scientology) a chance to be heard."

In a recent statement, the A&E network described the Emmy award-winning show and reaffirmed its commitment to continuing it. "We are enormously proud of the quality and importance of the series, which was affirmed by the show's recent Emmy win, and we intend to continue to share these brave stories with viewers," said an A&E spokesman.

The show debuted in November last year and has since garnered one of A&E's strongest ratings. Because of the recent effort initiated by STAND, however, the network admitted that some advertisers had already pulled out of the show.

Remini was a former Scientologist and was known for actively supporting and defending Scientology since she was 9. However, the "King of Queens" actress is now known for actively speaking against the church, which many people see now as a cult. Her partner, Mike Rinder, also used to be an executive of the Church of Scientology International (CSI) but is now exposing explosive controversies inside the religion, including the abuse of members and tearing apart of families.
