'Scream Queens:' A new horror-comedy series to watch out for!
Ryan Murphy, the famous creator of the "Glee" series, brings a new and promising show that will definitely get fans hooked with. "Scream Queens" is a horror-comedy series, which is guaranteed to be over-the-top and hilarious, that tells the story of the Kappa Kappa Tao sorority members, and the series of murders linked to them.
The sorority is led by Chanel Oberlin (Emma Roberts), who is known to be the meanest and vicious girl at the Wallace University. Roberts and the other "Chanels" (Ariana Grande, Billie Lourd, and Abigail Breslin) notoriously rule their campus, but Dean Cathy Munsch (Jamie Lee Curtis) forces the sorority to accept "anybody," in hopes to control the sorority's reign. This made the sorority president to accept pledges like Hester (Lea Michele), a girl who has neck braces due to scoliosis, and Grace Gardner (Skyler Samuels), a legacy who's a total opposite of Chanel. However, the new turn of events caused a series of murders in the campus by the killer known as the Red Devil.
According to MTV, the show's two-hour premiere will show off a few murders here and there, but were done with "a wink and smirk." The deaths in this particular program are said to be equally hilarious and scary, due to the over-the-top dialogues of the characters.
Another thing to watch out for in this series is Lea Michele's character Hester. Hester, who is far from being Rachel Berry, is said to be too knowledgeable of the dead, and viewers will see Michele's macabre but still hilarious side. Fans will also have to watch out for Hester's makeover in the upcoming episodes since she's planning to be the next Chanel.
The first episode is promised to have Nick Jonas shirtless, Emma Roberts' nonstop insult, too many quotable quotes, and a lot more. MTV also teases that viewers might even probably guess who the Red Devil is, after watching the premiere telecast. Fans will just have to see who the killer is when Scream Queens airs this Sept. 22 on Fox.
