The upcoming series was created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, who assembled an ensemble cast to take on the roles of sorority girls from Kappa Kappa Tau. The stellar cast includes Emma Roberts, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Keke Palmer, and Ariana Grande as sorority girls. Jamie Lee Curtis will also join the cast as the role of dean Cathy Munsch, the sorority girls' house mom. Skyler Samuels, Billie Lourd, Diego Boneta, Lucien Laviscount, Glen Powell, Nick Jonas, and Oliver Hudson will also be playing roles in the series.

In addition to the cast, Murphy recently announced on his official Twitter account that Patrick Schwarzenegger will also be playing a role in the upcoming series. He is expected to play the relative of another character. His appearance will take place this November, a few episodes into the season.

Another actor involved in the series is "Saturday Night Live's" Nasim Pedrad. It was reported that her character is expected to deliver several comedic lines. She will be adding a humorous vibe to the dark show.

Since the creators were involved in several other series such as "Glee" and "American Horror Story," the series is expected to present a fusion of the two. Murphy explained, "It's similar to 'American Horror Story' in that it's anthological but different in that at the end of the first season there will only be four characters out of 25 left. And those four in season two will go on to a new horror genre."

Scream Queens season 1 will premiere on FOX this Sept. 22.
