'Scream Queens' Season 2 News: Lea Michele to Reprise Her Role in Upcoming Season

Following the massive success of the first season's finale, it seems that the comedy will be given the chance to redeem itself in the form of a second season, with Hester coming back to probably kill again.

The finale actually saved the show from the rest of the season after it suffered a setback by midseason. It seems as if the TV screen community didn't get the fun that the stars offered, despite having "Glee's" Lea Michele and Emma Roberts in the cast.

On the other hand, statistics reveal the series actually raked in good ratings for delayed viewing, which is possibly the reason why season 2 is likely to happen.

The finale saw who the real Red Devil is and it happens to be Michele's Hester. Reports reveal that the last episode of the season obtained 2.53 million views, making it one of the most-viewed episodes in the entire season.

Meanwhile, Entertainment Tonight reveals that Michele will be back for the second season as Hester. The outlet says creator Ryan Murphy initially planned for about four or five characters to reprise their roles. It is unclear which other characters will remain on set but at least Michele has slipped that she will surely be back.

Referring to her role, Michele said, "We've talked about how she [Hester] then would unfold into another season." Her statements made fans speculate that she indirectly slipped preparations for season 2 even before there was official announcement for a renewal.

She also mentioned something about "killings" and how it would be a blast to see Hester and probably someone else from the cast killing another person in the upcoming season.

The details for season 2 are scarce just yet, but it is rumored that there would be new stars joining the team and Roberts will most likely return, too.
