Sean Combs, Aka Puff Daddy Retires from Music, to Focus on Acting
The end of Sean Combs has come, but it's not what you think. The American rapper who goes by several aliases, but is more popularly known as P. Diddy and Puff Daddy, has proclaimed that he is officially retiring from the music scene and will instead focus on an acting career.
The revelation was made by Combs in an interview for the upcoming issue of Cigar Aficionado magazine. He told the magazine that his music days are soon to be over. "I'm going to put out my last album and devote 100 percent of my time to doing films," he said. He mentioned that releasing a final album right before making an exit is the best way to stop, comparing it to a victory lap. He also said that he wants one final world tour and he wants to enjoy every bit of it.
The 46-year old is one of the most important symbols in rap in history. He has consistently shown how he could stand the test of time, almost two decades after he released his very first album as a solo artist. In all those years, he managed to release five studio albums, making him one of the richest and most successful African-American artists not only in this generation, but in the entire history of rap music.
The title of Comb's final album is "No Way Out 2," which he said is planned for a November release. The veteran artist thinks that doing his best in his last album will give him the ticket to greatness. "When I'm gone, only the songs will survive. I know I'm making music that will live on," he said.
It's no secret that Combs has had his own share of misfits and bad decisions in life, but his legacy will live on, no matter how he ends up as a film actor.
