Season 5 of 'Homeland' Will Have a Bipolar Carrie Getting No Help From Saul or Quinn
Fans can't wait for the fifth season of "Homeland" to premiere. This season will have 12 episodes, occurs two years into the future and will show the fans the conflicts between Carrie Mathison and Saul.
Season 5 of "Homeland," has a Carrie Mathison attempting to lead a domesticated life with her little daughter. She is out of the CIA, not being a spy for the time being and settling down in Berlin, Germany.
However, even after leaving the CIA, Carrie is doomed for spy work. Her work as a Security Specialist at the During Foundation will lead her to accompany her boss to a war zone in Lebanon soon enough. Here she soon gets quickly into CIA mode.
But this time Carrie might be at a severe disadvantage. The two most important men, Saul and Peter, will not be there to help her. She cannot always depend on either Saul or Quinn and in fact, Carrie might be on one side and the two might be on the opposite side, leading to major confrontations.
The premiere episode is titled as "Separation Anxiety" This could mean her separation with her country and her agency, the CIA. In addition, Mathison's chronic bipolar disease is something she has to deal with periodically. This sends her into phases of acute depression and she is unable to take correct decisions. This season might show us a Carrie more beleagured than in previous seasons.
Season 4 ended on an ambiguous note. Viewers do not know the fate of Carrie-Peter romance. They were just shown that he is leaving for a mission in Syria. The other mystery was the Saul-Dar Adal team-up. What are their intentions? The upcoming season will answer all these questions.
Apart from Sebastian Koch, this season of "Homeland" has many award winning actors who will add a lot of credibility to the season.
