Selena Gomez Denies Mean Texts From Justin Bieber Are Real
Selena Gomez recently denied reports claiming a series of alarming text messages allegedly sent to the singer from Justin Bieber are real.
On Monday fans of the pop stars were left stunned when snapshots of the text messages surfaced online. In one text, Gomez, 21, appears to urge Bieber, 19, to seek professional help for "drug" addiction and he supposedly responds by lashing out at the singer.
"F--- YOU!!!!!... I need to grow up?! HA ok! Enjoy life with OUT ME B----!!! F--- you. IAM DONE!" one disturbing text obtained by RadarOnline.com read. Other texts describe Gomez as "talentless" and claim to show lewd photographs of Bieber.
Gomez's representative, Jill Fritzo, immediately denied that the text messages were valid and said they are "not real," according to Daily Mail UK.
Bieber, who has been mired in controversy in recent months, has reportedly been leaning on Gomez in recent days in the wake of a police raid on his home. On Jan 14 the "Heartbreaker" singer was left shaken after Los Angeles County Sheriff's unexpectedly raided his Calabasas home in relation to a Jan. 9 egg-throwing incident.
During the raid police reportedly found illegal drugs inside of Bieber's home and subsequently his best friend, rapper Lil Za, was arrested for felony drug possession.
On Jan. 2 Bieber and Gomez sparked reconciliation reports after they were spotted riding Segways in his gated community in Calabasas, Calif. The pair split last year, but they reunited in recent weeks, much to the delight of their fans.
"Selena and Justin are officially back together ... but they won't be making any big announcements," a source told HollywoodLife.com.
"Selena knows everyone is going to have an opinion about it and she doesn't want that to get in their way," the insider explained. "Selena never stopped loving Justin so even though a lot of people might think she's making a huge mistake, she doesn't care. Being with him makes her happy so that's what she's going to do."
"Selena is in a jam between her feelings and her friends but Justin will get his way soon enough," the source added.
On Dec. 16 the former Disney star abruptly canceled the remainder of her her "Stars Dance" tour in order focus on improving herself.
"My fans are so important to me and I would never want to disappoint them. But it has become clear to me and those close to me that after many years of putting my work first, I need to spend time on myself in order to be the best person I can be," Gomez said in a statement.
