Selena Gomez Mom Pregnant: Singer Announces Happy News
Selena Gomez has announced through her Twitter account that her mom, Mandy Teefey, 35, is pregnant.
Gomez was not shy in letting her excitement be known about her new sibling. The singer said: “Momma and Brian are finally letting me share the news… My mommys carrying my baby brother or sister I’m the happiest girl in the world!”
The news has delighted her fans, who have also had to put up with the apparently false accusations of Mariah Yeater over recent weeks. Yeater has accused Gomez’s boyfriend, Justin Bieber, of being the father of her son and has demanded child support from him.

Bieber, from the start, has dismissed her claims, insisting that he does not know Yeater, and has never even met her. Bieber and Gomez fans have rebuked Yeater and said she is just after her “15 minutes” of fame and just wants some of Bieber’s money.
Earlier this year, Gomez, 19, spoke about the affect her parent’s divorce had had on her, which happened 14 years ago. She admitted at the time that for a long time she had blamed her mother. She said, “I blamed my mom a lot [for the divorce] because I wanted a family so bad. I wanted to have my mom and dad together. I remember just being angry with my mom. I still feel really bad about that…. Having me at sixteen had to have been a big responsibility. My mom gave up everything for me and had, like, three jobs. She supported me, sacrificed her life for me.”
