Selena Gomez Reveals Why She Calls Drake 'Baby'

Selena Gomez may be known for her previous two year relationship with singer Justin Bieber, but the 21-year-old actress and singer is speaking up about why she has referred to the rapper Drake as "baby."

Gomez recently appeared on Boston radio show, The TJ Show on 103.3 AMP where one woman called the radio station to ask if it was weird that her boyfriend referred to the entertainer as his baby. Gomez said she did not find it strange because she did the same thing when it came to the 26-year-old Canadian rapper, Drake.

"I'm like, 'Awww [Drake] did that for me,' when it's like, he did it on Twitter," Gomez said on the radio station. "I'm like, 'My baby did that for me!'"
While the hosts suggested that Gomez should date Drake who has been vocal about his single relationship status, the singer insisted that it wouldn't work.

"No," she said on the station. "And I mean this in the nicest way, I just don't have a big enough butt for Drake."

Although Gomez is no longer romantically involved with 19-year-old Canadian singer Bieber, she spoke about some lessons that she learned from the relationship earlier this year.

"I was 18 when we started to date. I don't know. You just have to be an 18-year-old and go through everything," she said during an E! special hosted by Ryan Seacrest. "I learned that I should definitely be way more private next time."

Gomez admitted to Seacrest that dating an entertainer is far from easy.

"It's hard to just date in this industry," Gomez told Seacrest. "You can't really help who you date."

Still, Gomez insisted she felt good being single.

"I'm okay with being content right now," Gomez recently told Seacrest. "I think that's what I'm happy with."
