Selena Gomez Talks Relationship and Break-Up With Justin Bieber
After months of silence, Selena Gomez is opening up about her previous relationship and breakup with Justin Bieber. The two started dating when the singer and actress was 18, and over the years, the couple's on and off relationship has been the subject of tabloid scrutiny, which Gomez says causes her anxiety.
In an interview with James Franco for V Magazine, the 22-year old admits that she was "a little depressed" due to the constant media attention.
"There were a few months where I was a little depressed," Gomez revealed. "I think I drove myself crazy for a little bit. It was just easier to say, 'Hey, do you mind running to the grocery store and picking some stuff up? I don't want to get photographed.'"

The "Come and Get It" singer also talks about what it was like to be in a relationship with someone who, like her, is in the public eye.
"When you're young and you're being told so many different things … it almost felt like all we had was each other, like the world was against us, in a way," Gomez explained. "It was really weird but it was incredible."
Gomez said that regardless of the outcome of her relationship with Bieber, she doesn't regret anything.
"I would never take it back in a million years. You live and you learn, you know?" she says.
"I think the next time [I have a boyfriend] will be much different … which will definitely not be anytime soon," she shared. "That's a growing up kind of thing. I was 18 years old, and it was my first love. The older I get, I'm guarding certain things more."
Gomez is about to release some music with rumored boyfriend DJ Zedd and is currently filming "The Revised Fundamentals of Caregiving." She also has a role in Franco's upcoming film "Dubious Battle."
"I think this year is going to be incredible," she said. "I feel the best I've ever felt in my life."
