Senator Ted Cruz Criticizes President Obama's Transgender Bathroom Directive, Calls It 'Politically Correct Lunacy'

For Obama, the reason behind is to protect transgender students from bullying. However, for Cruz, it's "politically correct lunacy."

Senator Ted Cruz is not happy at all with President Obama's transgender bathroom directive. According to a report by Newsmax, the former presidential candidate called the decision as "politically correct lunacy."

The POTUS delivered instruction to public schools to permit transgender students to use the bathroom that matches their gender identity. For Obama, the reason behind is to protect transgender students from bullying, as noted in USA Today.

However, Cruz is not on the same page with the president as he believes that the decree to allow men and boys to use the restrooms, locker rooms and shower facilities for girls is not only contrary to the law but also does not make sense.

"There is a reason that we give girls access to their own changing rooms: It is for their privacy, safety, and security," Cruz stated as detailed in The Blaze. "The administration's dangerous departure from that common-sense norm must not stand," he added.

Cruz then shared that as a solicitor general in Texas, he has previously handled lots of cases already of child molesters and the transgender bathroom directive may only aggravate the numbers. He sent out a message saying that one does not need to be a behavior psychologist to realize that bad things can occur if grown men would be allowed alone in a bathroom with little girls.

He then went on by urging schools to ignore the Obama administration's directive. He encourages every school head, school board and even parents to disregard the changes of laws in following of what is right, which is to protect the young girls in school. Being a father of two young girls, Cruz stands to the fact that he doesn't want his daughters to be forced to change in the same room where there are men and boys, and parents don't have to tolerate it either.
