'Sengoku Night Blood' Air Date, Spoilers: Vampires and Werewolves Fight for Their Rights in Upcoming Japanese Fantasy Anime Series
Famous Sengoku warlords about to become fierce creatures of the night in the upcoming Japanese fantasy-romance anime series, "Sengoku Night Blood."
The series is based on a popular otome smartphone game created by Marvelous and Kadokawa. In it, various warlords from Japan's warring states are gathered together for one common goal; that is, to declare war in a bid to unite all of Japan, as shown in the official trailer for the upcoming anime adaptation.
The adaptation specifically tells the story of a female protagonist who lives in the peaceful and prosperous land called Jinga. However, chaos breaks out when soldiers known as Getsugazoku decide to fight to keep their land. To complicate things even more, these so-called Getsugazoku also happens to be people with the special ability to turn into fierce creatures like vampires and werewolves and are pretty adamant about going by their own principles and ideals.
The aforementioned female protagonist has been predestined to be the key that could bring order back to this chaotic world. A mysterious lady known as the Hime Miko tells her that her blood bears the power to give strength, provide healing, and to bring about the awakening of Jingazoku's real form.
According to a list provided by the Anime News Network, the vampires will consist of Nobunaga Oda and Hideyoshi Toyotomi's Armies.
On the other hand, Kenshin Uesugi, Shingen Takeda, Yukimura Sanada, and Masamune Date will be leading their respective army of werewolves.
In addition to an anime adaptation, Kadokawa will also be releasing a manga inspired by the series and illustrated by Ano Akihito on Wednesday, Sept. 27. An official fan book will also be released on Friday, Oct. 13.
A light novel adaptation written by Mitsuru Yuu is also set to be released on Sunday, Oct. 1.
