Serena Williams News: Tennis Champ Shows Off Post-Pregnancy Body, Says She Can't Stop Talking About Her Baby

Almost a month after giving birth to her first daughter, Alexis Olympia, tennis superstar Serena Williams is ready to show off her amazing post-pregnancy body.

The new mom showed her slimmed down figure in a new mirror selfie she posted on her Instagram. Fans in the comments are impressed and blown away by how incredible her body looks only a few weeks after she had baby Alexis Olympia.

Williams and her husband, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, could not be happier about being first-time parents to the little bundle of joy who already starred in some of their social media posts.

After the whole experience, Williams did not forget to send big love to her mother aka "the strongest women I know" and talked to her via Reddit about her powerful build and how little Alexis Olympia got it too.

The tennis champ gushed about how her baby has "my exact same strong, muscular, powerful, sensational arms and body." She is proud and at the same time hopeful that baby Alexis Olympia will not have to go through the struggles she did when she was 15 with people shaming her about her physique.

I've been called man because I appeared outwardly strong. It has been said that that I use drugs (No, I have always had far too much integrity to behave dishonestly in order to gain an advantage). It has been said I don't belong in Women's sports—that I belong in Men's—because I look stronger than many other women do. (No, I just work hard and I was born with this badass body and proud of it).

Williams is in awe about how her mother dealt with this issue and said that she wants to follow in her footsteps now that she too is also a mom.

Mom, I'm not sure how you did not go off on every single reporter, person, announcer and quite frankly, hater, who was too ignorant to understand the power of a black woman.

I am proud we were able to show them what some women look like. We don't all look the same. We are curvy, strong, muscular, tall, small, just to name a few, and all the same: we are women and proud!

You are so classy, I only wish I could take your lead. I am trying, though, and God is not done with me yet. I have a LONG way to go, but thank you.

In a recent tweet, Williams wrote about her daughter's name, noting that her initials AO also stand for Australian Open, which the tennis superstar won when she was still pregnant with her.
