'Shadow of War' Tips and Tricks to Learn Before Starting the Game

The action role-playing title "Middle-earth: Shadow of War" from Monolith Productions and Warner Bros. was just released a few days ago. Luckily, several guides are now available so players can be equipped with needed tips and tricks upon starting the game.

Most of the gameplay elements in "Shadow of War" were derived from its predecessor "Shadow of Mordor." For example, players will still be managing elf shots all the time in the new game.

For new and recurring "Middle-earth" players, keeping at least one elf shot reserved is a wise move. So when players are in a tight battle and they spot a loot explosives nearby, they can easily aim at it and shoot it. However, if in any way a player uses up all of their elf shots, dominating one of the Orcs will help them regain some.

In every action game, weapons and other items in the inventory are important. The same can be said in "Shadow of War."

In the beginning, games like these tend to be more generous in letting players pick up cool items at any random moment. However, as the player advances, the gameplay gets more complicated and battles become more difficult to handle. This also makes picking up items and loots a tougher task. In this case, the Wraith abilities will come in handy.

During tight battles, a player can simply move over an object lying around in the area to pick it up. However, according to Polygon, the "Treasure Hunter" skill is the last to be unlocked in the Wraith category. But players should note that points needed to unlock a skill comes easily in the game. They just have to learn what skill category they should prioritize.

Investing unlock points on Wraith skills is one of the most worthwhile strategies when starting "Shadow of War." This will also allow players to use Wraith vision, which lets them see through objects in a field to gain a clear estimation of the number of enemies to tackle.

When starting "Shadow of War," another well-paying strategy is to complete the story and its side missions. This lets players gain more unlock points at a fast pace so additional skills and abilities can be accessed sooner.

Meanwhile, players should also appreciate that "Shadow of War" is another well-done open world game. This means the developers made an effort to craft worlds and environments that are worthy to explore.

"Shadow of War" is now available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
