'Sharknado: The 4th Awakens' Release, Spoilers and Cameo Appearances: Catastrophe Spreads to Las Vegas and Kansas
"Sharknado: The 4th Awakens" was released Sunday night, and if you think you can not get over the top with tornadoes filled with sharks, this movie proved you wrong, as it showcased "cownados," "firenados," "oilnados," and more.
With these new –nados springing into action, sharknados seem to be ordinary. "Sharknado: The 4th Awakens" is tagged as "the sequel to the sequel of the sequel to the greatest movie about sharks and tornadoes that's ever existed."
The original movie, "Sharknado," featured the city of Los Angeles. "Sharknado 2: The Second One" was set in New York. "Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!" took the catastrophe across the East Coast, and now, this recent sequel starts in Kansas and Las Vegas.
Spoilership
The lead character, Fin Shepard, played by Ian Zering, finds that he is unable to get rid of the disastrous nados. Shepard's wife, April, played by Tara Reid, is back. April was supposed to have died in Sharknado 3, but Twitter fans voted the decision to bring her back for the 4th Awakens.
In this movie, Tommy Davidson has successfully neutralized all Sharknados by using his pulse gizmo. But it turned out that the remedy wasn't 100 percent. A sandstorm-based Sharknado appeared just outside Las Vegas.
Sharknado 4 borrows a lot from pop culture, including Star Wars. In fact, the title itself "The 4th Awakens," is similar to the latest Star Wars movie. Another Star Wars reference is April's hand, which now works as a light saber.
Iron Man was also parodied in this movie. Fin's dad played by David Hasselhoff wears an AstroX that resembles Iron Man's suit, and April mentioned that she was Tony Stark's wife.
Even the classic film, Titanic, did not escape Sharknado's referencing. In one particular scene, a crew on a ship had to say "Sharkberg, right up ahead!" similar to the famous line on the James Cameron movie.
Cameos
Aside from trivial special effects and campy dialogues, "Sharknado: The 4th Awakens" is also filled with cameo appearances.

"Baywatch" stars Alexandra Paul and Gena Lee Nolin will play as astrophysicists. Some celebrities that will play as themselves include Vince Neil of Motley Crue, Wayne Newton, Todd Chrisley , Savannah Chrisley, Grayson Chrisley, Al Roker, Natalie Morales and the Chippendale dancers.
There are more cameo appearances which are not mentioned here, but that goes to show how star-studded the movie is.
