Sharon Osbourne Threat: Hasn't Committed to 'X-Factor' Despite $3 Million Deal

Sharon Osbourne has threatened to quit an already struggling "X-Factor," according to reports.

While "X-Factor" in the U.S. may have made the cut for a third season, it appears that the U.K. version of the show, responsible for discovering One Direction, may be in trouble. Salary expectations were already pushing the show over budget.

All four judges were allegedly seeking million dollar paydays, according to The Sun U.K., which would cost the show over $9 billion, the publication reported. But now, making matters worse, it appears the Osbourne has also threatened to quit.

It was announced last month that Osbourne was returning to the show after a 6-year hiatus. Simon Cowell is "not looking at anyone else" other than Osbourne, a source told The Sun.

"Simon is a huge fan of Sharon," the source said. "Things are looking good for her. She is in pole position."

Osbourne was offered the position as head judge, which also comes with the payout of around $3 million. But it appears the former judge is now having second thoughts and has yet to sign the contract. The major concern, according to the Daily Star U.K., is Osbourne's two children: Kelly, 28, who just suffered a stroke and Jack, 27, who suffers from multiple sclerosis. The mother is also "lukewarm" about format changes to the show, the report stated.

"Simon is confident it is just a little wobble but he's not taking any chances after last year's disaster when Dannii Minogue pulled out just days before filming," a source told the paper.

Osbourne was supposed to replace Nicole Scherzinger on the show. The initial replacement was going to be Mel B from the Spice Girls, but she signed with "America's Got Talent" instead.
