'Shin Megami Tensei' News: Nintendo Switch Game Details to Be Revealed by Atlus
A new "Shin Megami Tensei" game is headed to the Nintendo Switch.
By now, fans of "Shin Megami Tensei" already know that Atlus is developing a new game in the series for the Nintendo Switch. But, not much has been revealed about the title yet. Thankfully, that will all change on Oct. 23.
Atlus has revealed that the details of the upcoming Switch game will be unveiled through a livestream. Eager fans can watch the livestream on YouTube or through the company's website, which has the same YouTube video embedded in it.
The company did not reveal what kind of details will be given away, but fans are nonetheless excited. The new "Shin Megami Tensei" game was announced in September, and a teaser trailer for the Switch title was even released.
The teaser trailer opens in an abandoned office of sorts, with all kinds of clutter and garbage haphazardly scattered around. As the camera pans, plenty of roses are seen strewn on the floor. The ceilings are dilapidated, the windows are gone, and it is clear that no one has been here in a long time.
Suddenly, the sunny weather outside is replaced with a dark gloom, and rose petals are blown into the ghostly place by the wind. The camera follows the rose petals and an all too familiar view of glowing eyes is seen. The final reveal features a bottom-to-top look at the golden Odin.
In other "Shin Megami Tensei" news, Atlus has released a new game for the PC, according to Gematsu. First seen in the trailer for "Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux," side-scrolling game named "Shin Megami Tensei: Synchronicity Prologue" has been made available to download for free. The game features Jack Frost and Jack O'Lantern. However, fans who would like to get the game should act fast since it will only be available until Dec. 24.
The new "Shin Megami Tensei" on the Nintendo Switch is being developed with the Unreal Engine 4.
