'Shin Megami Tensei'Remake Set to Release This Fall

Atlus has just made a recent announcement that the upcoming "Shin Megami Tensei: Deep Strange Journey" revamp will be headed to the Nintendo 3DS in the fall of this year. The company broke the news of the new direction of the highly anticipated remake during its "New Title Announcement Special Spring 2017" live stream event last Sunday, March 26.

The game company behind the "The King of Fighters," "Odin Sphere," and the critically acclaimed "Persona" series has just announced the next iteration in its very highly anticipated "Shin Megami Tensei" franchise. Atlus has just recently announced that the next title is a remake called "Shin Megami Tensei: Deep Strange Journey" that will bring the game to the present generation of consoles.

The company has specifically chosen to target the Nintendo 3DS for the revamped version of the "Shin Megami Tensei" series, and is planning to release the upcoming game by the fall of this year, 2017. According to a short feature by anime and gaming news outlet Anime News Network, the announcement by made by Atlus at its annual "New Title Announcement Special Spring 2017" event. The company made the reveal to a press audience, and the event was also broadcasted to "Shin Megami Tensei" fans via a live stream feed.

According to the announcement as reported by Destructoid, "Shin Megami Tensei: Deep Strange Journey" will be coming out for the Nintendo 3DS in Japan this fall. The remake will feature new art, voice work, and a new character named Alex.  No news is yet available for an international release as of this time.
