'Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou' Air Date, Spoilers: Chito and Yuuri Find Time to Relax in New Key Visual Art

Life may seem bleak for both Chito and Yuuri, but they manage to get by somehow as long as they stay together. This is the idea depicted by the new key visual art released for the upcoming Japanese dystopian anime series, "Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou (Girls' Tour)."

With only days left before the series officially premieres, a new key visual has been released to share another view of the life that the two series protagonists, Chito and Yuuri, are living now that civilization has ended and now that they may potentially be the last two people left on earth.

The two of them will embark on a journey across empty roads, stopping by to take a rest at night as shown in the newly released image. The world may have ended, but they are still alive. With this, they both seem determined enough to keep moving, while also taking some time off to just sit back and relax in the light of the bonfire. The calm and intelligent Chito will most likely be lost in her book, while the overly optimistic Yuri is roasting her next meal.

Chito and Yuuri will be voiced by Inori Minase and Yurika Kubo, respectively.

The series is based on an ongoing Japanese manga series by Tsukumizu, which was first published in 2014 in Shinchosha's online magazine, "Kurage Bunch,"

There will reportedly be a spin-off mini-anime series, titled "Girls' Last Lesson," that will be shown alongside the official anime adaptation. The mini-series will broadcast on Kadokawa's official YouTube channel. It will feature Chito and Yuuri in their chibi forms as they attend classes at various schools across the world. The said mini-series is scheduled to premiere on the same day as the full-length anime series.

"Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou" premieres on Friday, Oct. 6, at 9:30 p.m. JST on AT-X, at 11 p.m. JST on BS11, and at 10:30 p.m. JST on Tokyo MX. It will also air on Sun TV on the same day at midnight JST and on KBS Tokyo late night at 1:30 a.m. JST. Information on other broadcast schedules and online resources can be found on the series' official site.
