'Silicon Valley' Season 4: Thomas Middleditch, T.J. Miller Preview Drama, Comedy In New Season

The season 3 finale of HBO's "Silicon Valley" concluded with a glimmer of hope for the Pied Piper team as they found out they were not bought out by Hooli. And while the previous season did end positively, that does not mean that it is going to be all smooth sailing for Richard and his friends.

It can be recalled that Erlich, along with Josh Brener's Big Head, was the one who ended up in ownership of Pied Piper. That alone is enough to indicate that season 4 is going to be a rollercoaster ride.

"It was a moment of happiness, indeed," T.J. Miller, who plays Erlich, said to Bustle. "But these guys just get beaten around in Silicon Valley throughout the series, so I don't think that's going to change a ton [moving forward]."

Since "Silicon Valley" is the story of making it big in the technology industry, it makes sense for the characters to go through a lot of tough times before finally achieving their dreams. However, that isn't to say that there will not be good moments, too.

"You'll find that in Season 4 there is satisfaction still remaining for certain characters," added Thomas Middleditch, who plays Richard. Middleditch also revealed that there are going to be some dramatic moments in the new season, as well as a lot of character development. However, comedy will still be very much at the center of it.

The premiere of HBO's acclaimed comedy series is only a month away. To prepare for it, HBO previously released the official trailer of season 4, which features everyone on the Pied Piper team. Perhaps the most interesting part about the clip, though, is Richard declaring that he wants out. Of course, there is not much context to this yet, so fans will have to wait until April to find out.

"Silicon Valley" season 4 premieres Sunday, April 23, on HBO.
