'Silver and Black' Release Date, Character Details: An Entire Marvel Comics A-Team to Appear?

"Silver and Black," a spinoff by Sony set to focus on Silver Sable and Black Cat, is still on the table with new details on the cast of characters expected to be featured in it.

According to the latest reports, the entire Wild Pack team from Marvel Comics will apparently be featured in the movie to assist Silver Sable. Earlier word suggested only select members of the Marvel Comics A-team will be included.

However, it looks like Sony is going all out and will bring the whole squad in "Silver and Black," which will make sense since the stories involving Silver Sable and the Wild Pack are well connected.

For the uninitiated, the Wild Pack is a group put together by Silver Sable's father and is tasked to track down international criminals and terrorists as well as recover property. Her mother's death pushed her to train hard enough to lead the organization.

However, she took over only after Silver Sable's father left to find his wife's killer. Under her leadership, the Wild Pack grew as it welcomed elite mercenaries to the fold.

"Silver and Black," per previous reports, was only set to star two Wild Pack members, but the most notable ones — Doug Powell and Lorna Kleinfeldt, who were featured in early Silver Sable and Wild Pack comic stories.

Having the complete team in "Silver and Black" makes sense since the film will follow Silver Sable as she hunts for the world-renowned burglar Felicia Hardy better known as Black Cat.

Speaking of the cat-burglar, Black Cat was originally played by "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" star Felicity Jones in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" although it is believed that Sony will recast for the upcoming spinoff.

"Silver and Black" is a product of the company's attempt to make the most of its rights to the larger Spider-Man universe. It is not necessarily based off of "Spider-Man: Homecoming" starring Tom Holland although there is no word if it will be officially included as part of the cinematic Spider-Man universe.
