Simon Cowell Having Baby With Friend's Wife?

Is Simon Cowell expecting his first child? Multiple reports state that the "X Factor" judge and producer is expecting a baby with his friend's wife, Lauren Silverman.

Silverman is currently married to Andrew Silverman, a real estate mogul and one of Cowell's closest friends. The two have apparently been separated and plan to divorce. Now that a baby may be involved, that divorce may happen sooner rather than later.

"Lauren and Andrew have been unhappy in their marriage for some time, and their divorce has been in the works for a while," a source close to the couple told Us Weekly.  "As their marriage deteriorated, she and Simon became close. She's around 10 weeks along."

While Cowell and Silverman have not spoken publicly about the assertions, he has previously been vocal about his feelings toward parenthood.

"I couldn't have children," Cowell said in an interview in 2009. "God no. If I had them here drawing on the walls, I'd go nuts. With kids, you've got a routine you can't escape from. You've got to be up at a certain time. Got to listen when all you want to do is sit in a corner thinking."

A friend of Cowell's told Britain's Daily Mail that the rumors were true and that Silverman wants to marry Cowell and have a family.

"Lauren loves Simon. She says that she wants to marry him. And with the baby, she's going the right way about it! But I think this could be really good for Simon," the source said.

The two have been photographed together on a number of occasions, with and without their respective exes. And Cowell has apparently softened his views of fatherhood, even admitting that he "had not ruled it out."

"And no. I do really, really like kids, because I can talk to them and listen to them. The problem has always been how much time you need to devote to bringing up kids. I've always dedicated all my life to work, and at 52, I've probably missed the opportunity," Cowell told AOL Music last year.
