Sims 4 Release Date News: Create-A-Sim and Build Mode, Some Fans Disgruntled Over Removal of Features
Sims 4 players can now also move about different worlds without having to create a new game. This takes the concept of the sandbox to a whole new level where Sims can now pursue different objectives across worlds without having to make multiple saves.
Create-A-Sim now also gives players a bigger palette of choices when creating their own original Sims to a simified version of real-life people. Support for more body shapes and ethnicities has expanded the limit to the looks of Sims players can create.
The new Build Mode now features a Drag and Drop building option with the choice of furnished or unfurnished rooms, allowing players to create their dream homes quickly. The added tools to Build Mode also allows for exact adjustments when expanding or building a home.
While some of the changes for Sims 4 makes for a new experience, some long-time Sims players feel that the removal of some old features has simply reverted the Sims series back to the Sims 1 or 2. Cars have been removed, Sims can no longer own community lots, even the removal of the swimming pool has disgruntled some loyal fans of the game.
Sims 4 is a life simulation video game developed by EA Maxis and The Sims Studio and was published by Electronic Arts. The game was already released Sept. 2 earlier this month for the PC, with a Macintosh port release to be announced. Sims 4 is the fourth main title in the main Sims series, succeeding Sims 3.
The fourth Sims title in the series is no different from the Sims 3 in terms of gameplay and concept but a lot of changes have been implemented for the Sims 4.
Sims are now more expressive with rich emotions and quirky personality traits. This has made more choices available to the sims and this has made storytelling in Sims 4 more fun and entertaining. The Sims have also been made more intelligent, capable of moving about the world more naturally. This has also enabled them to do many things at once.
