Electronic Arts popular "Sims 4" will soon be giving players additional Newcrest neighborhoods when it releases new content due to arrive June 11.

The free downloadable content is developer Maxis response to fans demanding an increase in the "Sims 4" space, with the expansion coming free of cost for all players of EA's fourth installment.

Newcrest has been described as an empty ghost town, with each neighborhood allotted five empty lots that players can fill with property downloaded from the Gallery, or build their own from scratch.

With the new Newcrest DLC, players will also find there will be new houses added to the Gallery, with the option to design custom houses, rooms, and furniture.

There have been no announcements of restrictions for Newcrest, and players will be able to build houses, pools, parks, clubs, and bars in their three new neighborhoods.

The update will also contain fixes to certain issues "Sims 4" players have been complaining about, including making the game's performance more consistent throughout.

There has been speculation that the success of the Newcrest update may soon see more empty neighborhoods added to the game, including neighborhoods as paid content.

In an earlier March update, Maxis Basement building content was accompanied by a listing on tips and tricks of Basement building on the game's official site, including the basics, playing with depth, creating a natural light observatory, building an underground garden and stairs through a house's foundation, as well as an underground silo for a rocketship.
