'Sister Wives' Season 6 spoilers: Meri Brown divorces Kody for Robyn's children


Sister Wives" is back on television for the sixth installment of the show. And just like any family, this particular bunch is going through a whirlwind of emotions especially since the eldest of Kody Brown's wives revealed the finalization of the divorce papers.

According to International Business Times, the show picked up from where it left off. It can be remembered from the last season that Meri brought up "the D word" to Kody and the rest of the sister wives. But it wasn't for any other reason except for the sake of Robyn's children from her previous marriage. In order for them to be legally adopted into the Brown family, Robyn must be married to Kody. But that will not be possible if Meri, the first and legal wife, is still under the contract of marriage with the patriarch of the family.

Out of selfless love for Robyn's children, she decided to give up her 24 years of marriage. But it doesn't go as smoothly as she thought it can for her. Inquisitr revealed that Meri had to "endure a few more painful moments before completely putting the ordeal behind her."

The video that was released also showed Meri's emotion and struggle about the divorce. Design & Trend noted that the 44-year old reality star even admitted not wanting to know about the wedding details. But Robyn insists that she attend their wedding because according to her, the legal binding wasn't for the two of them but for the children, Dayton, 15, Aurora, 12, and Breanna, 9.

Season six of "Sister Wives" will swing back high emotional drama among the family not just because of the divorce but also with the upcoming wedding of Kody and Robyn and their pregnancy announcement. Robyn is currently pregnant with their second child who will be the 18th newest member in the Brown children.
