"Sister Wives" Season 8 has been rumored to cancel due to Kody Brown's plans in getting two new wives. However, the reality television series will actually be happening even though Kody Brown's health is rumored to be failing.
Will The Show Be Cancelled?
In a recent report, the show has been on the verge of being cancelled due to Kody's plan in getting two more wives added in the reality series. Kendra Pollard, a friend of the Brown's revealed in a report that this decision of Kody did not fit well with TLC. The report further stated that getting more wives may not be tolerated by the majority of viewers and that the network may come under fire.

The reality television series is focused mainly on Kody Brown who has several wives. Robyn is the legal wife and before her were three other women whom he was also married to. They all live in one house in Las Vegas with 18 children from all four wives.
Although TLC Network has not been clear yet about the issue, viewers are still waiting whether the plans in getting more wives will push through.
Additionally, Kody has set his eyes for his next two wives. The eighth season may feature Mindy Jessop, Robyn's step-niece, and another Mindy who happens to be a family friend. However, there's no confirmation as of now from the network regarding the plan.
In Sister Wives Season 7, Kody stated that he does not want to have more children in the family. This announcement was when Robyn gave birth to Ariella who happens to be their second baby.

He further added then that he is already 47 years of age and does not want to add more to the family.
The recent reports on Season 8 getting cancelled have been all speculations. Kody already voiced out his concern about his four wives and even expressed his love to them. It is unlikely that Kody will leave them in exchange for newer and younger ones.
There are reports though that Kody's marriages to Meri, Christine and Janelle have been on the rocks and so is his marriage to Robyn. They are said to be in a difficult situation despite the fact that they just had their second child.
For now, there is no confirmed date yet from the network as to when "Sister Wives" Season 8 will premiere, though there is a possibility that it will push through.
