'Sleepy Hollow' Season 5: Henry to Return for Crane

Henry (John Noble) will come back for his father, Crane (Tom Mison), in the next season of "Sleepy Hollow."

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Raven Metzner revealed that they have every intention of including Noble's character in the new installment, in the event that Fox decides on the series' renewal. At the moment, the network has yet to reveal its plans for the show. Metzner said that they remain optimistic about the situation and even discussed what viewers can look forward to when it comes to future storylines.

According to him, Henry is definitely returning after agreeing to stand down from the fight during the annihilation of Dreyfuss (Jeremy Davies). Crane pleaded with his son to let him kill the menace and end his evilness once and for all. With Diana (Janina Gavankar) and Lara (Seychelle Gabriel), Crane succeeded. They also saved the U.S. president, earning him the right to become an American citizen. Unbeknownst to everyone, Crane's predicament has just started.

To kill Dreyfuss, he offered his soul to the devil (Terrence Mann). The EP revealed that Crane would do anything to end the pact. He knows that if he fails, the devil will take his soul the moment he dies. Will Henry play a huge role in this dilemma?

"The larger piece that's interesting that you just brought up, about how Crane has just taken on this deal in which his soul is owed to someone — he sort of has a lien placed on him, so the devil, or the devil we've met, hasn't taken his soul yet. It's a soul that is due on the day that he dies, so he still has his soul, he still has his freedom. It's more that he knows he'll have to find a way to defeat this bargain he's made before the day he dies," the EP said, according to EW.

Meanwhile, CarterMatt reports that the chances of the series being renewed are slim. The average live+same day rating of the show in season 4 reportedly decreased by 40 percent, compared to the previous installment. In the 18-49 demographic, "Sleepy Hollow" only got a 0.5 rating.
